Maresa is a British luxury lifestyle brand celebrating contemporary Colombian craftsmanship. Every collection is individually handcrafted in Colombia by skilled artisans, combining traditional techniques with timeless design for those who appreciate authenticity, exceptional quality, and thoughtful craftsmanship.
Where are your products made?
All Maresa products are designed and individually handcrafted in Colombia by talented artisans using a variety of traditional artisan techniques.
Are all your products handcrafted?
Yes. Every Maresa piece is individually handcrafted. Because of this, no two pieces are ever exactly alike, making every creation unique.
Is Maresa a sustainable brand?
We believe in thoughtful production rather than mass manufacturing. By working closely with skilled artisans and producing many of our collections in limited batches, we celebrate craftsmanship created to be treasured for years to come.
Do you work directly with Colombian artisans?
Yes. We work closely with skilled Colombian artisans, combining generations of traditional craftsmanship with contemporary colour palettes and designs created for today's international customer. This collaborative approach helps preserve authentic artisan techniques while creating timeless collections appreciated around the world.
Are your collections produced in large quantities?
No. Many Maresa collections are produced in limited batches. This allows our artisan partners to focus on quality, precision, and attention to detail while preserving the individuality of every handcrafted piece.
Why do handcrafted products vary slightly?
Small variations in colour, pattern, texture or finishing are a natural characteristic of handcrafted products. These subtle differences are part of the beauty and authenticity of genuine artisan craftsmanship and are not considered faults.
Do your bags come with a dust bag?
Yes. Every Maresa bag includes a protective dust bag and branded packaging. Depending on the collection, this may be a cotton or satin dust bag, designed to help protect your handcrafted piece when not in use.

What materials are used?
Our collections are created using carefully selected materials that vary according to each design. Depending on the collection, these may include traditional Wayuu crochet, handcrafted tapestry textiles, embroidery, and artisan embellishments. Full details can be found on each product page.
Are your bags waterproof?
Many Maresa bags feature a waterproof lining for added practicality. Please refer to the individual product description for specific details.
Are your products suitable for everyday use?
Many of our collections are designed for everyday use, while our Occasion Bags are created specifically for weddings, celebrations and special events.

Will I receive the exact bag shown in the photographs?
Yes, unless otherwise stated. However, because every handcrafted product is unique, minor variations in texture, pattern, or finishing may occur naturally.
Do you restock sold-out products?
Some collections may return, while others are produced in limited batches and may not be restocked.
If a product becomes available again, we'll announce it through our website, newsletter, and social media channels.
Are your products suitable as gifts?
Yes. Every Maresa piece is carefully presented in our signature packaging, making it a thoughtful gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, celebrations, and other special occasions.

Returned items must be unused and returned in their original condition.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Please get in touch with us within 48 hours of delivery and include:

Product Care
How should I care for my bag?
To preserve the beauty of your handcrafted Maresa piece, we recommend handling it with care and storing it in its protective dust bag when not in use.
Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, and abrasive surfaces.
When storing your bag, we also recommend lightly filling it with tissue paper to help maintain its shape.
Can I wash my bag?
Most Maresa products can be hand washed with cold water and a mild detergent, where appropriate.
For embellished Occasion Bags, we recommend spot cleaning only to protect the delicate decorative details.
Always follow the care instructions supplied with your product.
How should I store my bag?
Store your Maresa bag in its protective dust bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the bag, as this may affect its shape over time.
